Dear ARTS
I'm learning vector radiative transfer theory and monte carlo simulation by using ARTS and many others' papers. There are some details about monte carlo that i don't understand.
In the eighth chapter of ARTS theory(2.2.64), the evolution operator is divided by in equation 8.15 (see red rectangle)
I don't understand why the evolution operator should be divided by g. I can't find this point in other's papers which also describe (forward) monte carlo method likemonte carlo radiative transfer simulations for ocean optics: a practical guide(see attachment).
The same question about equation 8.16-8.23.
Can you explain more detail about this or tell me where can i find the answer ?
Thank you!
best wishes
